We focus on the transitional period from Mahler and late Romanticism to Schoenberg, Zemlinsky and Richard Strauss, as well as on significant figures such as Johanna Senfter, Dora Pejačević and Nancy Dalberg. Our central axis is the study of the transitions from Romanticism to Expressionism and their consequences on the musical landscape of the 20th century, with an emphasis on the Greek music scene.
